Biography: Andrew Ray is an Associate Partner/Senior Expert in McKinsey’s Charlotte office and the Healthcare Provider Revenue Excellence domain. His work with McKinsey focuses on serving healthcare providers, technology companies and services companies on strategic growth and financial transformation topics.

Prior to joining McKinsey in January 2020, Andrew led revenue cycle and strategic financial initiatives at Stanford Children’s Health. Andrew was part of the leadership team that developed a community-based physician network, opened several multi-specialty clinics, consolidated the system-wide EMR and financial systems, opened a new hospital tower, formed several joint ventures and affiliations with hospital partners and launched a digital health program. For these efforts, Andrew was recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the “Top 50 National Healthcare Leaders Under 40” in 2016.

After graduating with a BSBA from KFBS, Andrew began his career in healthcare performance improvement consulting serving healthcare providers across the country. Andrew and his wife, Catherine, live with their two young sons, Charlie and Henry, and loveable goldendoodle in Durham, NC. Natives of Asheville, NC, the Rays are thrilled to be back home in
the Old North State.
