MBA 2024

You were selected as the incoming MBA Healthcare Club President. What are you most looking forward to in the coming year, and what is your main goal for the club during your term as president?
I’m excited for the case competition—I participated last year, and I can’t wait to come up with some interesting scenarios for this year’s case! Beyond that, my main goal is to continue building up the healthcare community. I’m really excited to be able to foster relationships while supporting students preparing for the rigors of recruiting. It will be great to pay back all the support I received this past year.

What made you decide to pursue a career in healthcare?
I’ve always been interested in healthcare, but at first, I thought I wanted to be a provider. In one of my first weeks as an undergraduate, a professor explained the difference between “health” and “medicine,” and I’ve been excited about and involved in the field since then.

Tell us us about a favorite class you’ve taken during your first year in the MBA program?
I’m currently really enjoying my Business Plan Analysis course. Each week, my classmates and I get to ask a local start-up founder questions as if we were venture capitalists considering investing in the business. I’m really excited about innovation in healthcare, and it’s been fascinating to learn about the business processes behind start-ups in a hands-on way.

What are the top two items on your bucket list?
I want to visit Peru and to see the Northern Lights! I love to travel and spend time in new places.
