MBA 2025

For the past year you have served as the MBA Healthcare Club’s Executive Vice President. What is something you are proud to have helped the club accomplish?

My proudest achievement isn’t a singular event, but rather the personal relationships the Club President and I developed with the first years. We committed from the start that the most important aspect of the club was to ensure they each had personalized support to assist them in their specific journey. Even though we organized many successful events, I felt that the most impactful work we did was through the one-on-one interactions with students, whether as a contact, a friend, or a mentor.

What are your plans after graduation?

I will be working at Eli Lilly & Company in Marketing.

What made you decide to pursue a career in healthcare?

My decision to work in the pharmaceutical industry ties to a personal experience. A close family member was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer, and initially it appeared that not much could be done. Miraculously, a groundbreaking chemotherapy that targeted their specific mutation of cancer had just been approved by the FDA, and my family member began taking it. Within a few weeks, the tumors had decreased by 50% and the therapy didn’t produce any side effects. Experiencing this innovation in chemotherapy led me to pursue a career in healthcare due to my desire to both give back and be a part of the innovation currently changing the industry.

Tell us about a favorite class.

It’s a toss-up between two classes: Global Healthcare and Behavioral Economics. In Global Healthcare, I enjoyed learning the complexities of healthcare across the world and came to realize that there is usually a give and take when change is needed within a healthcare system. In Behavioral Economics, I loved understanding how psychology and our natural tendencies differ from basic economic theory. As a future marketer, I feel it’s fundamental to understand the psychological reasoning behind actions.

Do you have any advice for incoming students?

Don’t forget that your reason for pursuing a degree is unique to you. Shape your experience (recruiting, classes, social activities, etc.) around that and don’t compare yourself to others!

What would people be surprised to know about you?

Embarrassingly, I have owned 5 different drones. My drive to capture the best shot can at times hit a wall—literally.
