Fun fact: In my spare time, I train for trail and mountain ultramarathons (i.e., anything over a marathon distance). I started running in May 2013 as a casual hobby and have altered in my running goals over time. I started running 5k, 10k, and half marathons, then progressing into marathons, and now I squarely compete in distances of 50 miles and further. While the physical benefits of running are apparent, I’ve found this to be a great mental health outlet, especially during the pandemic.
