Zoey Kernodle is the Director for the Center for the Business of Health and oversees all of the Center’s strategy, operations, and programmatic components. She leads efforts for the Center’s advisory board, manages key internal and external relationships, and manages new initiatives that emanate from the CBOH.
Prior to joining UNC, Zoey worked in healthcare research and consulting at the Advisory Board Company in Washington, D.C. She led and produced best practice research for hospital foundations and internal development offices at academic medical centers, children’s hospitals, and community hospitals. With a background in fundraising and program oversight at large academic institutions and a national non-profit, she has extensive industry experience with corporate engagement, board management, and philanthropic strategy.
Zoey is currently in the executive doctoral program for public health leadership at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. She has a master’s degree from Emory University where she studied theology and political philosophy, and a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from North Carolina State University. She serves on the board at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology.
